American Astronauts have been dubbed ‘America's finest’ due to the extreme and intense training they undertake over many years, including countless flight and technical mission simulations. The primary objective of STS-72, pictured in these images, was to deploy and retrieve a Japanese satellite, undertake two space walks and test space-suit performance.
